What is counselling?
Counselling is a unique opportunity for people to explore areas of concern within their life, family or relationships. Kardinia Counselling uses the Christian Counselling model, which is a blend of Psychology, Spirituality and Theology. It uses proven methods such as cognitive work, education and self-discovery to assist people to resolve issues.
Art Therapy
Art Therapy is used as a therapeutic tool to assist children, teenagers and adults clarify and work through thoughts and feelings resulting from life issues, trauma, illness or disability that may be causing anguish for the individual or family involved. Art Therapy involves the use of visual art such as drawing, painting, clay work, sculpture and collage, to explore these life issues. No prior experience with, or interest in art making is required, as the focus of the sessions are on the exploration of and moving through, life issues, rather than producing art pieces.
